Aniimo Battle Pass Guide: Tiers, Prices, and Passes
How Aniimo's Battle Pass works: Advanced and Collector's tiers, Companion Handbook rules, redemption cards that never expire, and upgrade costs.
Aniimo's Battle Pass sits at the centre of its paid layer, and the rules around it are more player-friendly than the genre norm in one specific way: unused redemption cards never expire. That single detail changes how you should think about buying in.
This page explains the two paid tiers, how the Companion Handbook works, and the purchase rules that keep you from paying twice for the same thing.
The Two Paid Tiers
Aniimo's console pre-order packs introduced the two pass tiers, and the same structure applies in-game.
| Tier | Pre-order price | What it grants |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced Edition | $9.9 | Exclusive in-game accessory plus the in-game Premium Pass |
| Collector's Edition | $19.99 | Exclusive in-game accessory plus the in-game Collector's Pass |
Prices vary by region and cannot be converted exactly, and the pre-order packs are no longer on sale now that the game has launched. The tier names matter more than the bundle prices, because in-game pass purchases follow the same Advanced and Collector's split.
One Paid Tier Per Version
This is the rule that prevents overlap and double spending:
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Active tiers | Only one paid tier per Battle Pass period |
| Redemption cards | Can be held in multiples, but only one is redeemable per period |
| Expiry | Redemption items never expire |
| Upgrade path | Upgrading from an active Advanced to Collector's Edition requires a paid upgrade |
In practice: if you buy both packs, you will hold two Battle Pass redemption cards but can only activate one per version. The other waits for a future version, and it does not expire while it waits.
That also means there is no reason to redeem a card "just in case". Sitting on a redemption card costs you nothing, and using it early only blocks the second card for that version.
The Companion Handbook
The Companion Handbook is the part of the pass that changes between versions, and it is worth understanding before you redeem anything.
| Handbook property | Detail |
|---|---|
| How it activates | Use the item from your inventory to activate the corresponding tier |
| Duration | Effective until the current version ends |
| Prismana egg | Each Handbook features a different Prismana Aniimo |
The Prismana egg is the reason to check which version a Handbook relates to before using it. Because each version features a different Prismana, the Handbook you hold is tied to a specific creature, and redeeming it in a later version gives you whatever that version offers rather than what you may have expected.
The official guidance is to refer to the version in which the item is redeemed.
Where Passes Come From
| Source | What it provides |
|---|---|
| Console pre-order packs | One pass plus an exclusive accessory per pack |
| In-game purchase | Premium Pass and Collector's Pass tiers |
| Official Aniimo shop | In-game items, with a 10% Lumin Crystal bonus |
Linking your email and purchasing through the official Aniimo shop adds a 10% bonus on every Lumin Crystal purchase, and the first purchase of each Lumin Crystal tier grants extra Glimmer on top. That makes the official shop the cheaper route for the same crystals if you are going to buy them anyway.
Accessories and Pack Contents
Multiple packs grant multiple accessories, and the equip rules are worth knowing before you buy duplicates of something you cannot wear.
| Wearable | Limit |
|---|---|
| Aniimo accessories | Up to 2 |
| Player character accessories | 1 |
The two console-exclusive accessories are Fluffy Friend on PlayStation and Doggo Dude on Xbox. If you bought packs on both consoles, both reward sets can be claimed on one account after linking both to the same Aniimo Pass.
Is the Battle Pass Worth It?
The strongest argument for the pass is that the redemption cards do not expire. Unlike the usual seasonal model, buying a pass you end up not using does not waste the purchase: the card carries forward to a future version.
The counter-argument is that the paid layer is not where Aniimo's power comes from. Creatures come from catching and nurturing, Prismana Aniimo are triggered through Prismana Flow, and the free launch codes already supply Glimmer, Credits, and Growth Flower. A player who never buys a pass still has the full roster available.
If you do buy one, the Collector's Edition is the tier to take if you want the larger spread of pass rewards in a single version, since upgrading an active Advanced pass to Collector's costs another payment.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Aniimo Battle Pass cost? The console pre-order packs that included passes were priced at $9.9 for Advanced and $19.99 for Collector's Edition, with regional pricing differences and in-game tiers sold separately.
Do Aniimo Battle Passes expire? Redemption items never expire. An unused pass card carries into a future version rather than being lost.
Can I use two Battle Passes at once? No. Only one paid tier can be active per Battle Pass period, though you can hold multiple redemption cards.
What is the Companion Handbook? An in-game item that activates the corresponding tier of the current Companion Handbook when used from your inventory, effective until the current version ends.
What is the Companion Handbook's Prismana egg? Each Handbook features a different Prismana Aniimo, so the egg you get depends on the version in which you redeem the item.
Do I need PlayStation Plus or Game Pass for a pass? No. No subscription is required to purchase or claim pre-order packs or in-game items.
Where are the official pass rules? The official Aniimo launch FAQ documents the tier rules, redemption limits, Handbook behaviour, and shop bonuses described here.
